Anche quest’anno l’associazione Acmos ha ospitato in Piemonte (a Torino e Boves) lo scambio europeo promosso dal progetto Erasmus+!
Lo scambio Let’s not gen(d)eralize! si è svolto dal 18 al 26 luglio 2022 e ha viste coinvolte trenta persone provenienti, oltre che dall’Italia, dalla Germania, dall’Irlanda, dal Portogallo e dalla Romania.

L’esperienza di questo scambio Erasmus+ ha trattato dei temi complessi ma essenziali, che si sono intrecciati organicamente con quelli affrontati dal movimento di Acmos e dalla rete WeCare al tradizionale campo estivo di Boves (CN). Abbiamo riflettuto sul concetto di identità e in particolare di identità di genere, di orientamento sessuale, e sul tema del transfemminismo.

L’esperienza si è articolata in tre momenti, tutti collegati dal filo rosso della riflessione svolta dal gruppo.
Le persone partecipanti hanno passato i primi giorni dello scambio a Torino, iniziando a sperimentarsi con giochi e attività volte ad esplorare il tema dell’identità: chi siamo? La nostra identità personale è lineare, oppure è composta di tante parti, sempre in evoluzione? Questi primi giorni sono stati molto utili anche per conoscersi meglio, legare all’esterno dei propri gruppi nazionali ed iniziare a conoscere di più i rispettivi paesi, soprattutto grazie alla serata interculturale! Per l’occasione Casa Acmos si è riempita di cibo e bevande tipiche, di balli e chiacchiere in inglese, di tante bandiere diverse.

Durante il secondo momento lo scambio si è unito al campo di Boves. È proprio qui che i temi oggetto del progetto sono stati approfonditi e sviscerati, attraverso momenti di riflessione nei gruppi composti da persone provenienti da Acmos, dalla rete WeCare e dall’Erasmus+, incontri con ospiti competenti e attori in prima persona per il cambiamento a Torino, e attraverso una passeggiata sul tema delle discriminazioni composta da dieci tappe, ognuna delle quali ha rafforzato sempre di più la consapevolezza dell’importanza del concetto di intersezionalità. L’Erasmus+ di quest’anno si è infine concluso a Torino, con tre sessioni di lavoro che hanno permesso di riflettere (sia collettivamente che all’interno dei gruppi nazionali) su quanto era stato approfondito durante la settimana precedente, su quanta strada è stata fatta in tema di diritti europei, ma soprattutto su quanto ancora c’è da fare, insieme. Questi ultimi tre giorni hanno anche visto le persone partecipanti ricevere il proprio Youth Pass e creare un durante l’attività all’XLab un braccialetto che rappresentasse una delle bandiere che orgogliosamente rappresentano la diversità della comunità LGBTQIA+.

Proprio così si sono salutate le persone che hanno avuto la voglia di partecipare a quest’esperienza che, forse quest’anno più di altre volte, ha richiesto il coraggio di mettersi in gioco e affrontare temi che ci toccano nella nostra identità più intima e personale: dicendosi che questo cambiamento sarà utile e giusto se coinvolgerà non solo le persone che abitano nel nostro stesso paese, ma l’intera Europa e il mondo intero.

Once again this year, the Acmos association hosted the European exchange promoted by the Erasmus+ project in Piedmont (in both Turin and Boves)!
The Let’s not gen(d)eralize! exchange took place from the 18th to the 26th of July and involved thirty people coming from Italy, Germany, Ireland, Portugal and Romania.
The experience of this Erasmus+ exchange dealt with complex but essential issues, which were organically intertwined with the ones addressed by the Acmos movement and the WeCare network at the traditional summer camp in Boves (CN). We reflected on the concept of identity and in particular on gender identity, sexual orientation, and the topic of transfeminism.
The experience was articulated into three moments, all connected by the red thread of the group’s collective reflection.
The participants spent the first days of the exchange in Turin, starting to experiment with games and activities aimed at exploring the theme of identity. Who are we? Is our personal identity linear, or is it made up of many parts, always evolving? These first few days were also very useful for getting to know each other better, bonding outside their national groups and getting to know each other’s countries better, especially thanks to the intercultural evening! For the occasion, Casa Acmos was filled with typical food and drinks, dancing and chatting in English, and many different flags.
For the second part of the project, the Erasmus+ exchange joined the Boves camp. It was here that the topics covered by the project were debated and explored in depth, through moments of reflection in groups made up of people from Acmos, from the WeCare network and fro the Erasmus+, meetings with competent guests who are first-hand actors for change in Turin, and through a walk in the woods on the theme of discrimination made up of ten stages, each strengthening the awareness of the importance of the concept of intersectionality.
This year’s Erasmus+ finally came to an end in Turin, with three working sessions that enabled reflections (both collectively and within national groups) on what had been explored during the previous week, on how much progress has been made on the subject of European rights, but above all on how much more there is to do, together. These last three days also saw the participants receive their Youth Passes and during the activity at the XLab they created a bracelet representing one of the flags that proudly stands for the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.
This is exactly how the people who had the desire to take part in this experience greeted each other: knowing that this change will be useful and just if it involves not only the people living in our own country, but the whole of Europe and the whole world. Perhaps this year more than other times, this project required the courage to get involved and tackle issues that touch us in our most intimate and personal identity, and for that courage Acmos thanks everyone that was involved.
