INTRODUZIONE
Da tre anni a questa parte ACMOS è coinvolta nel progetto “TEACHERS AHEAD – Digital skilled Teachers Acting for Higher and Inclusive Education”, realizzato nell’ambito del programma Erasmus+ KA2 – partnership strategiche.

Teachers Ahead è un progetto europeo che coinvolge dieci organizzazioni (scuole, università e associazioni) in Italia, Francia, Spagna, Bulgaria e Gran Bretagna e che mira a generare opportunità di training e scambio per educatori e insegnanti e creare e condividere metodi e strumenti per rafforzare l’inclusione nelle scuole e nella società in generale.

Il principale compito di ACMOS all’interno di questo progetto è stato creare la “Mappa europea dell’inclusione”: uno dei prodotti intellettuali del progetto.

 

 

CONSULTA LA MAPPA EUROPEA dell’INCLUSIONE

La “Mappa europea dell’inclusione” mira a:

• mappare opportunità e pratiche di inclusione per i giovani in Europa promosse da associazioni, scuole o università
• facilitare la creazione di rete fra attori sociali, scuole e realtà associative
• condividere buone pratiche di inclusione nel continente europeo

Tale mappa è stata realizzata principalmente grazie al contributo di numerose scuole e associazioni che hanno aderito alla mappa compilando un form online con le esperienze di inclusione da loro promosse. Grazie a questo form è stato costruito il database della mappa. Altre esperienze sono poi state aggiunte dall’associazione in virtù delle pratiche realizzate.

Alle diverse scuole e associazioni è stato chiesto di descrivere le rispettive esperienze di inclusione specificando il luogo (palestra, scuola, trasporti, bar, spazio aggregativo…) e il tipo di attività (lavoro, educazione, musica, gioco…) con cui l’inclusione è realizzata. La scelta di tali criteri è frutto di una riflessione circa l’importanza di non etichettare i progetti di inclusione dal punto di vista del target: una simile scelta avrebbe potuto determinare un rischio di ulteriore stigmatizzazione delle diverse categorie sociali a cui le iniziative di inclusione sono dirette.

MATERIALI

La costruzione della mappa è stata preceduta da un’approfondita riflessione, condivisa con i partner del progetto, sul significato e l’importanza dell’inclusione in ambito educativo e nell’Unione Europea. I materiali di tale riflessione e sull’utilizzo di Google MyMap sono confluiti in un padlet, la cui consultazione è disponibile qui

 

Oltre a costituire una mappatura delle buone pratiche di inclusione in Europa, la Mappa Europea dell’Inclusione costituisce uno strumento utile per essere usato in ambito educativo. Acmos ha infatti elaborato un percorso educativo strutturato in tre incontri sul tema dell’inclusione. Gli obiettivi di ciascun incontro sono rispettivamente:

1. Far riflettere gli studenti sul significato e l’importanza dell’inclusione nella società
2. Riflettere sull’inclusività della città in cui si vive, dalle infrastrutture alle opportunità lavorative ed educative, e su come migliorarla
3. Scoprire insieme agli studenti altre esperienze di inclusione in Europa usando la Mappa Europea dell’Inclusione.

INTRODUCTION

ACMOS is involved in the project “TEACHERS AHEAD – Digital skilled Teachers Acting for Higher and Inclusive Education” , implemented as part of the KA2 Erasmus+ program – strategic partnerships.

Teachers Ahead is a European project that involves ten organizations (schools, universities and associations) in Italy, France, Spain, Bulgaria and Great Britain. The aim is to generate training and exchange opportunities for educators and teachers and also to create and share methods and tools for inclusion in schools and in society as a whole.

The main task of ACMOS within this project is to create the “European map of inclusion”: one of the intellectual outputs of the project.

THE EUROPEAN MAP OF INCLUSION

The “European map of inclusion” aims to:

• map inclusion practices and opportunities for youth in Europe, implemented by NGOs, schools and universities
• facilitate networking between social actors, schools, and associations
• share best practices of inclusion among Europe

This map has been realised mainly thanks to the contributions of numerous schools and NGOs which have applied to the map filling an online form with the experiences of inclusion promoted by them. Thanks to this form the map’s database has been built. New experiences have been added by the association considering the practices carried out.

To schools and NGOs it has been required to describe the inclusion experiences of each, specifying the place (gym, school, transportation, bar, youth space…) and the type of activity (work, education, music, game…) by which the inclusion is carried out. The choice of those criteria is the fruit of a reflection on the importance of avoiding labeling the projects of inclusion considering only the target. Such a choice could have determined a risk of further stigmatization of the different social categories which the initiatives of inclusion are addressed to.

MATERIALS

The building of the map was preceded by a deep reflection, shared with the project partners, on the meaning and the importance of inclusion in the educational field and in European Union in general. The materials of that reflection and about using Google MyMap are merged in a padlet, which can be available for consultation here

In addition to constituting a map of good practices of inclusion in Europe, the European Map of Inclusion is a useful instrument to be used in education. Acmos has indeed created an educational workshop, structured on three meetings on the theme of inclusion. The aims of each meeting are:

1. To stimulate the reflection of the students on the importance of inclusion in society;
2. To reflect on the inclusion in cities, from infrastructures to working and educational opportunities, and on how to improve it;
3. To discover with students new experiences of inclusion in Europe using the European Map of Inclusion.
